Secure Offsite Backup

Automatic Account Increases

As time goes on, the storage in your rsync.net filesystem will slowly increase, and our price for additional storage will slowly decrease.

No action is required on your part. No additional cost will be charged. There is no additional commitment.

Your filesystem quota will simply be increased twice per year, forever.

Storage Price Index

Advances in storage technology exert constant downward pressure on the cost of offsite storage. With the release of each new component comes the ability to provide offsite storage to our customers at an ever-decreasing cost.

There are several ways we could respond to such continuous downward pressure. We could simply ignore it, and hope that our customers don't notice that as time goes on they are being increasingly overcharged for offsite storage space. Or we could wait until our pricing became too detached from technological advance and reactively lower it in sporadic fashion.

Instead, we have chosen to develop a simple formula that takes into account the prices of commodity storage components, their actual availability on the market, and their size.

Based on that formula, we adjust our current accounts (upward) and our prices (downward) twice yearly.

Growing With Your Storage Needs

We at rsync.net greatly value the business of each of our customers. This is reflected in our personal approach to support, our flexibility and openness, and ou r commitment to privacy and rights.

We know that as time goes on the storage needs of every one of our customers will increase, and we want to retain their business indefinitely. We do this by making sure that our product and pricing always remains competitive.

As your storage needs grow, your rsync.net filesystem will grow with them.
